Cute Shit: The Rosy Maple Moth

So this one's not really Korea-related, but plant/animal-related like my first cute shit post. There are these things called rosy maple moths that don't look real:




He's all like, "Yaaaaay!"


Does this not look like some popular 80's toy? I don't know about you, but I want a moth buddy like right nao. Since I mentioned it last time, the sciencey name for these critters is Dryocampa rubicunda. Rubicunda, Rubik's Cube? Rubik's Cube moth? Sounds good.

I guess people don't usually think of moths as cute, but I've always liked them. Usually girls think of them fluttering into their hair and shudder, and guys probably think of Godzilla and Mothra, but then there's this:

The Venezuelan poodle moth, possibly a new species only discovered in 2009 and that I missed when it made its rounds on the Internet last summer (because I was busy travelling and not posting on here about it).

At what concentration does this post begin to taste mothy?
